About Me.

I'm Jude Kelly-Whitfield, a soon-to-be graduate computer games design student from Staffordshire University, eager to explore the definition of "FUN" within games.

Originally from the famously known rainy city of the Pacific Northwest - Seattle. I immigrated to the United Kingdom in 2014, which has helped pave the way to where I am today.

My story with Games Design began in 2019, when I began studying Games Design at Southport College, over the two years I developed a passion for designing and creating interesting game concepts, even though I couldn't code. My diagrams were always clear and straight to the point with how it should play out.

Whilst at University, I've had the chance to work on many different projects, but none have stood up to my current Game Development Project - designing and slowly developing a tank game with inspiration coming from Wii Play Tanks, War Thunder, World of Tanks, and GHPC (Gunner, HEAT, PC). I've decided to combine arcade and simulation-style gameplay into one, to design and develop RANGE, AIM, FIRE!

Burnley College | Talk

Asked by my former college lecturer Christopher Haythornthwaite to give a talk regarding the transition between college and university academic differences, and whether it's the right decision, I spoke in front of students doing level 2, and level 3 games design courses.
